@mckerraljamie GTX 295?! That card is extreme!!! 7900gtx is an old card, but according to YouTube, it's pretty good, but GTX 295 is quite a bit better! And quite a bit more expensive!

How does the 7900 gtx compare to the like's of the new nvidia 295? I'm thinking about getting one for Photoshop CS4 ?

I noticed on my SLI rig 2x 7900GTX that it would freeze after about 5 minutes if I ran limewire, Something about java not liking SLI or SLI not liking java. It may have done the same with a single card but I never tried it, I just started using limewire on my laptop with 8600m GT 256mb & it ran fine.

I got the BFG Geforce 7900 GTX OC, and every time I try and play a game now, my monitor and case fan shut off...so I haven't played any games in like 8 months, lol it sucks balls.

I now believe problem was kaspersky. Since i changed my antivirus, i never had the problem again...

i doubt it but it is possible
i would say that if the display is not coming as it should or the computer is freezing then the drivers are not correctly installed een if you have already reinstalled them do it again remove the drivers (windows has drivers so you will still have display) then reinstall the drivers from nvidias website, also consider a BIOS update as the new drivers may need a newer BIOS to function correctly

i've tried all of that, over and over again. Even using driver cleaner to make real "from 0" driver installation. Well,since i'm using bitdefender, never happened again. Coincidence? :)
