Just an FYI, Fredrik created the term 'Djent' to describe Meshuggah's sound. So, 'America' can't be ripping it off. Last I checked, there are plenty of prog metal bands from all over, not just the US.

Fredrik and Jens are the only original members from 1988, they've also been thru a few different bass players with Lovgren joining sometime in 2005.

And, Foreigner & REO were done by 82/83 and gave way to the MTV garbage.

As my comment below says, Meshuggah are amazing, plain and simple.

The shear power is enough to scare the sh*t out of any musician who understands what Meshuggah is doing. But, listen closely to this, and their other songs, and you'll hear the genius in the odd time sigs, heavy grooves, hypnotic cadences and brilliance of the rhythms.

There's no other band on the planet like Meshuggah.
