The second howto tutorial on the topic of creating a melody for trance leads. This second part covers the layering of another lead in unison with the first with a slight alteration in the lead to add that little extra tweak. Even though this tutorial is using Cubase5 with Sylenth1 and reFX vanguard you can use any sequencer or audio software like FLStudio, Propellerheads Reason, Logic, Alberton or Cakewalk to achieve something similar.

Visit my main site http://www.imphenzia.com/music to listen to all my music and you're welcome to subscribe to my channel if you want to follow a series of tutorials. Most of them will likely be how to create electronica / trance / or dance music similar to the style I use.

Additional tags are: pianoroll, detune, atmospheric, euphoric, powerful, melodic, uplifting, connect the dots, scales, sweep, filter, cutoff, resonance, brightness, transform, transorming, transformation

  • How would you go about adding kicks to this without the main sounding a little off?

  • @Infectedmushroomz Good question - not sure if I ever tried to add a beat to this one =) But it may need to be adjusted a bit if the melody doesn't quite match the beat.

  • Thanks a loooooooooooooot.

this tutorial may be usefull to produce psy-trance too ^^
