For six decades, Fred Waring and his group, the Pennsylvanians, spread their smooth sound through-out the world. He sold millions of records and won the Congressional Gold Medal, the highest honor the U.S. government can bestow on a civilian. Often dubbed "The Man Who Taught America To Sing," Waring was most famous for his love of choral music.

  • Just around the corner, There's a rainbow in the sky. So let's have another cup of coffee And let's have another piece o' pie! Trouble's just a bubble, And the clouds will soon roll by' So let's have another cup of coffee And let's have another piece o' pie! Let a smile be your umbrella, For it's just an April show'r. Even John D. Rockefeller Is looking for a silver lining.

  • I LOVE this version also! Chick Bullock & The Girlfriends are just AWESOME on the vocal.

  • @alontas Well I`ll try this again! The version that is in the movie "Paper Moon" is by Enric Madriguera and his Hotel Bultmore Orchestra on a Columbia 2561-D. The flip side is "LOVABLE" and is on Prozoots channel. I have this AWESOME 78 record and it is to die for! The soundtrack album LP has it as well but is very poorly recorded. I know several of the WONDERFUL folks who were in the movie from Hays Kansas and surrounding arias. Enric`s version is on this channel. Hope This helps.

    best regards

  • @alontas Hello there, the other version you are talking about is the Glenn Miller rendition of the same name.

  • LEGENDARY GREATNESS! A musical

window into a troubled time, which can

actually, if we're paying attention, help

us get through the sorrows and woes

    of this present hour!

  • I first heard this song when I was 17 yrs old. I like it very much. But the version I heard was another. Some verses even mentioned Herbert Hoover. That version also appears in the soundtrack of Peter Bogdanovich´s Movie "Paper Moon" (starring Ryan O´Neal and his daughter Tatum). it´s a lovely song, and much more heart-lifting if it´s played more allegro.

  • Like most of people i heard it on family guy but when i heard it for real, i was blown. I didn't know that american 30's 40's was so amazing. Beautiful song!
