the test should be ssd vs hdd in raid 0 or if you want to make it a fair test each at similiar prices ssd vs 4 hdd's in raid 0.
-
u should have compared it with one of those Seagate Momentus XT hybrid drives :)
-
bunch of different crap loaded onto both z's.
uneven comparison, although the ssd's had more programs open &copied the files faster, they win.

In the UK I'm pretty sure there's an option to have 2, 3 or 4 SSD drives in RAID 0 config.
-
@Handoi4789 better yet a wd 10000rpm HDD
-
Probably be alot more faster on Windows 7 ...Pfft talk bout that XP would be beast.

Should probably compare read performance, that's where SSDs actually shine. Guess the performance gain here is mostly because of the raid.
How many SSD drives in the RAID configuration. Good vid but lacking vital information in the description.

It does not say that the 5400 is raid 0, or any raid for that matter. you need to have two 5400 drives in raid 0 if comparing with two ssd drives in raid 0 else this is just some bias test.

This is not a test on SSD, this is: what' s the difference if I buy the HDD model or the one with SSD raid0?
What's the difference in daily use?

This Vaio is the Z92, you can have with a 256 GB (128 x2) or a 512 GB SSD (2x256)
