i saw this tour at the cincinnati gardens also. great great performance by edgar winter! one of the all-time great live performers. white trash was great also. rick derringer was a definfinite enhancement to both Johnny & edgar winter.

Wow, thank you SO MUCH for posting these videos of EWG w/Derringer. I'm a huge huge fan and have every album of EWG, Edgar, and Rick. It's cool to watch at 3:55 when Rick starts going off into his fast solo with the whole band, I noticed it's a similar if not identical solo to the one he does during Rock and Roll Hoochie Koo off of the Derringer Live album

Drivin' Sideways is actually a Danny Johnson song so there's one more spot on the list of twenty great Rick Derringer songs. That's actually a great idea about making the list of RD songs. I'd like to see what you come up with. I've always been a big fan of his less popular stuff like "Just Another Punk" or "Man In The Middle". Sweet Evil is a GREAT album. I bought it on import before it became so available but don't regret it. Thanks for watching the video!

Rick still plays a lot of these licks but he is much cleaner now then back then.

For sure! I saw him not too long ago at the HOB in Dallas. His playing has improved so much now that he's sober. But yeah, he has his bag of tricks he likes to use. Still in all, an awesome guitar player.
