Well here is Dave Lee Travis dressed in a chicken suit with this catchy parody cover of 'Convoy G.B.' recorded here by Laurie Lingo & The Dipsticks and it is an actual TOTP performance from 1976, well here is Tony Blackburn introducing it on the 29/4/76 edition which was reshown on BBC4 on 28/4/11. All copyrights acknowledged thanks to BBC and State Records for making this possible. However more clips of TOTP-madness are coming up from that year anyway, I hope Klein had interested to pick up 1976!!
Don't get stuff like this in the charts now. Thank god.

Marvelous! Thanks for uploading. DLT (apart from being an utter tw*t) looks like something from a BDSM video? Love the hairstyles. Pure 70's!

@sirtinycreep it's not that bad. When you hear music by the likes of Justin Bieber and Rebecca Black, this stuff is gold!

@TheKenfig I agree. It's simply awful. What's worse is that DLT really thinks he's good at accents.

That must be Tony's real hair, before he got his full cap wig.

@gregtheogre Get your facts right. This dreadful record is indeed from 1976. It is a parody of "Convoy", the 1975 track by C.W. McCall. The 1978 film was inspired by McCall's track. Not all songs come from films you know....

It can not be 1976 as the movie Convoy that they refering to is from 1978...
