Easy way to remember gold, copper, and silver:

Gold: "Ey, you (Au), come back with my gold!"
Silver: "Ey, gee (Ag), wish you were gold."
Copper: "See you (Cu) later, copper."

Still remember this even tho my science teacher taught us this over 6 years ago.
