where's the jetpack? all i ever wanted was for robocop to have a jetpack and by movie 3 they finally gave him one at the completley acceptalbe expense of plot. but who cares he had a FUCKING JET PACK! and then scifi made a series which i could only finish drunk, but HE HAD A FUCKING JET PACK!

Robocop: a movie nobody wanted to make. Writer/co-producer Edward Neumeier said the title, "Robocop" prompted hang-ups, "that's a joke, right?", & 0-Interest from a Director. Verhoeven threw the script across the room; his wife picked it up; read it. It was only by her urging, that he directed. Robo pays much tribute to westerns. Love the final scene, Murphy swinging open the OCP Board Room Doors, like a gunfighter to saloon doors, to the dismay of the crook who thought he'd been taken care of.
