The cursive styles are good for turning brush stroke exercise and helpful for Chinese brush painting. Sometimes Chinese calligraphers mix cursive and semi-cursive styles in a work. Cursive styles are studied after one has good foundation in Kai Shu.

後 (after, behind)
也 (also, too)
秋 (autumn)
否 (negate)
和 (peace)
河 (river)
像 (similar, image)
唐 (Tang Dynasty 唐朝)

  • is that real chinese , look kinda odd. Different than printed type I suppose. Cool Paint.

  • @FOXnewsAlien Chinese characters have 5 major scripts - Seal, Clerical, Running, Walking, and Standard. The standard style is like current printed type we use today.

Chinese scripts were developed at least as early as 1600 B.C.

During the Han Dynasty (206 B.C. - 220 A.D.), the five major styles of scripts were existing and used with Li Shu being more popular in general. It is said that Cao Shu, Hsin Shu, and Kai Shu were developing at nearly the same time during the Han period and Kai Shu came to its current standard forms as the latest among the five major scripts.

  • i belive kaishu is same as word pinyin

"Chinese script developed in the 4th century a.d. and considered standard since that time."

  • You are welcome.

  • I got it from looking at the information section 也

    Thanks
