@zunathanzu The Scriptures do not explicitly say it in those words, much like how we do not find words like "trinity" or "rapture", but we see evidence for those doctrines of the Bible to be true. And what we have to do is see if there is evidence for what happened in Acts 2 to be something that is happening today and if it is a legitimate gift of the Spirit that is functioning today. We have to look at the evidence and be as objective as we can concerning the issue.

@zunathanzu tongues are other languages, but, you can't understand what you are saying, it's just God takes over your mouth and uses it to speak. If you don't believe that's your choice. The bible does talk about recieving the Holy Ghost all over. The bible tells us in acts 2:38 what to do as far as salvation. I'm not trying to sound pushy, or mean, that not my goal, my goal is just to spread the word of God to those who will listen.

@Inchurch4life I know the word of God and have the Holy spirit my friend. I don't need to have a sign of a miracle to believe. I am a skeptic of people who say they speak in tongues or drive out demons, or heal people but I'm not saying it couldn't happen. I've just never experienced it. God bless you.
