in 2009 we lost an incredible man, Greg Ladanyi, He was a legend in the music world, having produced, mixed or engineered some of the greatest albums in history (Toto, Don Henley, Jackson Browne, Fleetwood Mac). He was a Grammy winning genius with his ears and hands but a one in a billion person, there simply was no one remotely like Greg. He was a great friend to have.
Hopefully this slideshow will bring back some fond memories for those of us lucky enough to have known Greg, or let people who did not have that honor to get a glimpse into Greg's world.
There are many many people out there not represented here. We tried to put together as many photos as we could in a short time.
Personally, I was a good friend of Greg's for the last 20 years, so I guess this is also how I saw it.
CJ
P.S. a huge thanks to Jeth Weinrich for his help putting this slideshow together (redworldfilms).

I used to call him Chairman of the Board. He said he was the Chairman of the Bored. I looked around Hollywood for his enemies. None around.

I was Greg's art & web director over the past 5 or 6 years. We became very close working on the various acts he was representing. He was a great client because he understood the creative process and let me do my thing, knowing he'd get better results. He was a great friend because he always cared and asked about how I was doing personally. I can't even begin to tell you how this video affects me emotionally, but all I can say is we've lost one of the best of the best. Miss ya buddy.

@jjoherl Hey J.J., I did the music for this and Jeth Weinrich and I did the slideshow. Greg was one of my biggest mentors but more importantly one the best friends I ever had on this planet. What a loss. Thank you for the kind words on the track. Tomorrow (Sept.29) is the one-year anniversary of his passing. RIP Greg.

@jjoherl oh please share with the world! Everyone should know about Greg. What a monster genius. Yes I played that guitar solo (it is actually a keyboard). Greg and I made twenty or thirty or forty records together...all the best.

Hey all-
I get emails telling me you're all appreciating the video tribute. Could you PLEASE post comments and ratings, so more people can find this video? Thanks much.

Greg never once let his ego into the music. He was tough and forceful, passionate and tireless, but he was also a teddy bear. Greg had childlike innocence mixed with street smart cleverness and a genius set of ears.
Couldn't ask for a better friend, always willing to listen and constantly asking how things were going.
A mentor and a born leader who gave more than he got most of the time, no one worked harder than him on a project, he set the bar.
We miss you man
