the longer ama acting as a great counter weight with crew on
and acting as brace on opposite tack with the crew on smaller ama

amazing . I built a proa a few years ago ,but these are more like trimarans . Is there a reason for the unequal lengths of the outriggers on both sides ?

absolutely fantastic, I have seen the big wakas ,no sail, playing in the surf by Ngunguru, shooting down big waves with 6 people in it.
