@CapPicard I'm in Denver and I know of one intersection in the whole city, which is possibly the only one in the whole state, where they're horizontal. It's at the entrance of an upscale office park so I'm convinced they mounted them horizontally just to make the entrance there more extravagant or something.

But I'm used to verticals as well so it's strange anytime we go visit Dallas. There are just a few other states where the norm is to mount signals horizontally.

@msk578 I'm used to vertical traffic signals. There's a handful around KC that have horizontal. Abit weird for me but not too bad.
