Watch the video from begineing to end to see my jeep from when it was a beater to now! This is montage of pictures of my 1978 CJ-5 that I have been building since I was 14(for 7 years now). It has had 3 suspensions, first was a heavy dut 2" lift kit(that is what it had when I bought it), then I put a SkyJacker 4" softride suspension, and now it has a 4.5" Rubicon Express with a shackle reversal and 2" HD shackles. I have a D30 front with a locker and warn axles. Rear is a AMC20 with locker and superior axles. 4.56 ring & pinions, 304 v8, stock tranny and transfercase, heavy duty clutch, hand throttle, warn 9.5 Ti winch, flex lite fan, warn rear bumper & tire carrier, rhino liner, Cobra CB, 6pt cage(tied to the frame). Future plans include, agr power steering system, currie tie rods, high steer knuckles, tube fenders, racing seats with racing harness.

  • who sings this song????

  • I dont remember the name of the song, but it is The Scabs.

  • awsome looking cj love the wheels and tires i bought one about 5 months ago and restoring it is a blast cant wait to get her back on the road.

  • Thanks for the compliment! I thought the wheels and tires helped it stand out! Ya, fixing up old CJ's is a great hobby! This one is my pride and joy, and driving it is bliss! Good luck fixing yours up!

  • i just bought a 67' cj-5 and its a total rust bucket. to be espected. and i cant decide if i should try to fix the rust. or buy fiberglass body parts. what is your opinion?

  • IMO, I would not do a fiberglass unless it is going to be a show car. The fiberglass will not hold up well to the beating of rock crawling. My CJ-5 was pretty rusted around the corners when I got it, and we cut a lot of the rust off and welded patches in. That holds up well and you wont have to worry about your bondo popping out if you hit something while offroading!

  • i have i 78 cj 5 some day i will restore it i have videos of it so check it out

  • nice jeep, wondering what brand of paint you chose and the color name? it looks like an olive of some sort.. looks great. I just bought a 74 cj5 and I'm just starting on it, luckily though it won't need much to get it road ready

  • The tires on the final version of the Jeep are TSL Super Swamper Boggers. My question is how big are they? They look bigger than 33's.
