@BelgianJungleSound The drummer could be playing an open hi hat in some parts of the tune. I should have been more specific that there isn't any close hi hat play.

@BelgianJungleSound It's all cymbal, the drummer doesn't play the groove using the hi hat. The end is a cymbal hit that's muted by the drummer grabbing it.

It's been 2 years since you posted this attempt. Have you tried it again? It's a pretty simple pattern, and there's no hi hat on the song.

yes i have tried it again, i know how to play it properly. But at the start of the video it says 'with a touch of jojo mayer' this is how another drummer plays and messes around with the groove... it's not exactly the amen break...
