Intermountain ES40DC - follow up video

welcome back youtube.

this is a quick follow up that i am doing about the intermountain HO scale ES40DC, released with the ES44DC Gevos in ho scale from the intermountain railway company.

the ditch lights flash together when the horn sounds, but the front and the back will get messed up if CV 8 is set to 8. if that happens, set cv 57 to a value of 159 to put it back the way it was out of the box.

the numbers on the side do say ES40dc, not es44dc, or es44ac, or es40ac. ES40DC.

there are some strange places on the locomotive that light seems to get through, and it looks bad when the lights are dim and the locomotive is in reverse, with the rear ditch lights on.

overall, its a great model and i highly recommend it

model railroaders need to stop hating. its pathetic and unnecessary, if there is something you don't like, get over it, don't complain. solve problems yourself, think critically, its what humans do.

My condolences go out to the family of alexander frye, who unfortunately took his own life because of bullying and hating, something that is unfortunately seen here on youtube all too much.

haha thats right. There is some interesting talk going on right now about the true identity of nsbnsfsuperfan, unfortunately it is looking like it is actually a well known and well respected modeler.

As for athearns, I don't think i plan to. I have had bad experiences with athearn and I do not plan to really get any more athearns, I'm tired of wasting money and time. They do have extreme potential, and they are modeled perfectly! But their quality issues are holding me back.

yea they don't get to me, i don't really mind it much; they make themselves look pretty dumb. However, I was just throwing in my two bits on everything.

Enjoyed the review. I model N-scale but enjoy all aspects of the hobby. The internet and Youtube have been great resources on the hobby. I have seen videos of many layouts that I would have never been able to see. I appreiate the Youtubers that are here to help others. There is no place to haters here. I have seen the commments made by BNSFNSsuperfan on other channels just think its uncalled for.
