Im on 60mg a day....I never really noticed a dramatic change for my agoraphobia...its helped my moods though...plus I just slipped way back into agora again....really sucks.
I hate starting over,I can bearly go in stores again, and I dislike the sun,I prefer grey rainy days so no one can see me as well
I know this is way too late but please don't worry it will help. I took prozac and the difference was night and day for me but my diagnoses was depression from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Agoraphobia is way different. But it helped my Depression alot!
@TaintedBeautifully and other little ones that went away on their own. I am currently trying to get on SSI because there's no way I can work. I don't know if you have considered that or are already on it. But it's worth a shot.
@TaintedBeautifully Well I try an force myself to leave my house everyday, because everything I need is only a mile from my house. But there are times when I don't leave the house for a week or so. But then I start feeling like I'm going crazy. 2 days ago I drove 3 miles from my house. That was a huge step but I got through it.... At first the meds made me feel tired but kinda nervous at the same time. But that goes away after a week or so. There were side effects like headaches, tummy issues...
@shaybug2288 Beta Blocker Propranolol 20mg x2 day for high blood pressure due to how bad my anxiety is, and it also helps with the physical symptoms of anxiety and panic attack like, racing heart, shaking ect. So 10mg of Prozac is quite alright. You will be just fine! :)
Hi I'm agoraphobic and I'm on 3 different kinds of meds for it. I used to be totally against taking meds. But my anxiety and panic attacks were so out of control that I had no choice. I have tried tons of different meds, I had allergic reactions and everything I found one med that works perfect for me It's called Clonazapam I have 2mg a day, It's a Benzo anti anxiety I also take, Buspirone 10mg x2-3 day it's a anti anxiety and anti depressant, and last I have to take a..
@Regna and helped me to be able to take control of the panic attacks, so they eventually didnt freak me out so much and i learned to live with it, and then its trying to remember simple things like if you do start to have a bad one that you can always just turn around and go home if you dont feel up to it but i bet you if you do have one and just work through it and do what you want to you will feel so much better about yourself that it hasnt stopped you doing some thing.
Hi, i use to have insanellly bad panic attacks and agoraphobia i think for a while i couldnt even leave my house with out throwing up and not being able to breath, but it was very hard for me to get over it took 4 years for me to get back to a normal state where i could like go to outside without freaking out or get on a bus that typeof thing, What really helped me was lexapro i took the edge of the panic attacks and it didnt stop them no drug will stop them but it did help me cope with them
