This would be an awesome product if it worked on a regular basis. Their customer service absolutely sucks. I can't get a response/reply from them. The automated response system stinks and bumps you around with bogus hopes of help. Then it finally directs you to send then a letter via regular mail. Totally disappointed. . . should change the company name from Gemmy to Scammy.

@UpcomingJedi I know right... There is a new light-o-Rama, you take a song on your computer add it to the program, then the light-o-Rama uses the program to sequence it , then you add it to the light o Rama, it looks great, much better then this garbage. Love the idea, but hate their price... $250, yikes!

(continued) It works good, but you have to adjust the volume from the mp3 player/audio source for the best effect. Other than that it's great. I tend to add new lights to it every year for a different display. Just be careful with the volume of the speakers, as it may annoy neighbors if too loud. And keep in mind that this is a simple light show, not a costom-programmed one like Light-O-Ramma. For examples for how this works with iPods/etc., look at Gemmy Light Show vids ppl posted on YouTube.

I got the Gemmy Light Show set about 2 years ago for 40 bucks at Wal-Mart. The mp3 connectivity is what got my attention, since it's way cheaper and simpler than Light-O-Ramma. So here's the real scoop: It's pretty good, but it's not Light-O-Ramma. It works best witht the songs included. It comes with a long audio cord in case you don't want to connect your mp3 player directly into the unit. I've used this cable to play music from my CD player.
