why did the other motor not ignite..did you have them wired in series and not parallel. Always the risks in rocketry I am afraid.

No, the leads were hooked up in parallel, but I just didn't make the igniters well enough. They both lit instantly, and then a few seconds later the motor flared up.

Yes, technically 2 G motors is still what is classified in FAA regulations as a "model rocket". But 2 G77's have more total impulse than many H motors. (Regardless of the fact one motor failed).
