Last month I built me an electric wc but I was not 100% satisfied. Yesterday a friend gave me this one, in really bad shape and not working, but I fixed it with the parts of the other ones and that is the best I ever did. This baby is twice as fast (although I wanted it slower, not faster) and with the gradual speed, I can move a one foot per hour or 18 mph! It has huge torque and with my customon wood seat and back I'm very comfortable. This way I don't have to buy one from the store and be like everybody else. Weight is about 70 pounds, I pick it up and place it in the trunk of my car easily, no assist necessary at all. Range I estimate at 15 miles on one charge, more than what I will ever need.

  • Where did you get the parts and how much did it cost you? Two broken ankles I want to do something similar

  • @casenew i bought everything at the flea market. the bike itself i bought for 12.00 (from a guy I buy a lot and he likes me because of the charity work I do). all in all, including all the waste i did doing many experiments and discarding them, I would say no more than 180.00 tops, really stretching the figures. I would suggest you don't do what I did. Instead, buy brand new one, carefully examining the frame so it allows you to install stabiling wheels and that is better.

  • look at those bae bae kids in da background hahaha

  • Hi I'll be doing what you did and already bought izip i650 today as my main scooter. Next step will be designing the side wheels. Looking for a design for side-wheels with shock-absorber.

I'm a physically challenged person from the Philippines. Mobility scooters are very expensive here and too big and heavy to fit in a cabs trunk.

  • im more interested in the bmx on the back
