"hold that thought Bro." Bridget said reaching into her coat for her vibrating phone
"mom" she said, her one word explanation for getting up from the couch and walking to a quiet corner of the room.

Once again, the man dressed in head to toe black entered "it's time, you need to be on stage now"
And he left the room once again, just as quickly as he came in
"we'll go get our seats then, break a leg guys" Haley said
Together she, Kevin, Alexandria, Stan, Joe, Miley and Nick walked out of the room.
Joe who was the last one going out stopped at the doorway
"don't forget, 7:30 okay?" he said quietly to Dougie to make sure Bridget didn't hear him
"Don't worry, I've got your back on this. Just you make sure your right in front of us and we'll do the rest" Dougie said

Joe nodded then looked back into the room and at Bridget, checking to make sure she hadn't heard anything but all she did was smile, wave, and mouth "I'll be out in a second"
"I owe you one" he said to Dougie
"Hate to break up this wonderful little talk we're having here" Harry said, popping out of nowhere "but there are a couple of thousand girls outside screaming 'we want Mcfly' so if you'll excuse us mate...."
Joe stepped aside for them to pass "oh yeah, sorry about that"
As Harry dragged Dougie down the hallway, Dougie yelled "Just remember Joe, you hurt her and you might find yourself missing a couple of important body parts."

Joe laughed nervously, stopping when he felt a hand on his shoulder. He made a 360 and found Bridget standing behind him, staring at him with an eyebrow raised.
"ready to go?" she asked
He nodded and grabbed her hand, pulling her down the hallway in the opposite direction Harry and Dougie had just gone, towards the audience seats

Haley's seat was left abandoned as she jumped up and down with the rest of the crowd, screaming at the top of her lungs although her shouts were drowned out by everyone else's.
She took a moment to take in the experience, looking on either side of her at the people she'd grown so close to. On her left were Bridget, Joe, Nick and Miley. On the right, Alexandria, Stan and directly beside her Kevin.
Everyone was into the performance, even the guys were cheering on their newly made friends.

It was while she was looking at Kevin that she first caught the sight of the tight, black, leather bomber jacket that she knew so well.
she blinked hard and shook her head
"you okay there?" asked Kevin, looking down at her with a frown
"yeah, fine" she replied shakily
"are you sure?" his voice was full of concern
Haley put on a forced smile that must have looked real in the poorly lit arena because he smiled back at her and started cheering Mcfly on again.

"just a trick of the light....just a trick of the light" she said to herself
Her eyes involuntarily slid to the place where she'd spotted the jacket.
"just a trick of the light....just a trick of the light" she repeated, her heart rate quickening when she found the jacket again
She grew nauseous as she watched the jacket turn slowly in her direction and with it, it's occupant's body.
"just a trick of the light....just a trick of the light" she whispered the chant again

Even in the bad lighting, his messy brown hair and deep, dark, brown eyes were unmistakable. She stared at the face that had broken her heart so many times before. A slow smile began to form on his lips and Haley was disgusted by the fact that Sean's wink still gave her goose bumps.
