@09JDCTrainMan I saw a NS Train in Morristown,TN friday w/at least 2 BSNF locomotives and a NS locomotive carrying a mixed freight train from Asheville,NC to Knoxville,TN
-
How fast were these trains going? It's also a good thing that's not a quiet zone.
-
NS with BNSF? Good catch!

this is an awesome video I enjoy trains as well.

nice crossing

Thanks for responding. If you should ever get a chance, it'd be cool to see a video from each direction. I see where the oncoming direction may have a left-sided gate. Very cool, 5-stars.

That's a scary looking crossing. All that open area for someone to make a mistake, against trains at that speed. Have there been many collisions here that you know of? Any chance you can get the FRA #'s for both crossings? Thanks!

No car collisions, but an unrelated pedestrian strike down the tracks in November of 2006. I see people do stupid things and make wrong turns all the time but I have yet to see a car accident or train-colliding accident here.

this is an awesome crossing and video but it is not a double crossing
TrainmanKight 4 years ago
What do you mean it is NOT?
o00o00ozy 4 years ago
a double crossing is where there are two rr lines and two crossings some work together and some dont check out my "central ave up meet (eureka mo)" that is a double crossing that works together but if a train comes on bnsf i dont think the up gates work
(a double crossing is very hard to explaine so just watch the video thank)

CP Laurel is like that, 2 lines (one used every 2 years maybe), and there is a T intersection between the tracks. I am refering to this crossing as a 'double road' rather than a double trackage, I know what you mean by that.
