Bruce D. Greenstein is the Secretary of the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals. He has extensive experience in the healthcare field, having worked in both the private and public sectors. On the state level, Bruce worked for Governor Lawton Chiles in Florida, leading the design and administration of healthcare programs. On the federal level, he served as Associate Regional Administrator and Director of Waivers and Demonstrations in U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), where he oversaw the state Medicaid programs and led the federal government's Medicaid state reform efforts. Most recently, he served as the managing director of worldwide health for Microsoft Corp. Greenstein enjoys combining his technological knowledge and healthcare experience in his role as DHH Secretary.
