It's odd how a band that can actually play instruments get loads of hatred. But people singing on their own with no instruments or talent in a video get lots of praise.
I definately dislike this, but a good half of what I dislike could be fixed with different equipment. 1) BUY A FUCKING TUNER!!!! 2) Use lighter guage picks 3) For distortion try a BOSS ML-2 Metalcore. (I know the name implies something faggy, but with a good tube amp it can sound heavier than pretty close to anything else out there with amazing melody ability, to boot) 4) DONT USE A HARMONY PEDAL. EVER. 5) singer: dont sing so high. convince the guitarist to down tune.
@GuitarManGT yeah cuz the only kind of good music is downtuned metal with growling vocals, only use the low end of the sonic spectrum, it's the only cool part, yera dick
@wakefilioso I do like death metal, but that is besides the point (am a HUGE power metal fan, too). what I mean when I say down-tune, is to change the key of the song. The vocalist loses power, and to a certain degree some control, when he sings those high notes. so lower the key of the song, maybe, one full step and a lot of the complaints about the singer will dissappear. I didn't mean to offend, just advice from one musician to another (I play guitar and do vocals in a few pro-bands myself).
