Religious people are pathetic. In many middle-eastern countries, it's illegal to be an atheist, sometimes even punishable by death. In Many US-states, Atheists can't hold public office, and are mostly looked down upon. Atheists deffinitely ARE being persecuted.

Why would god need us to answer for our life if he is omniscient? Why would god give us the freedom to mock him and then punish us if we do? Why would he give us life only for it to eventually end to be reborn in  a happy place or a bad place?
