Brilliant...might very well be the best thing to come out of the tragically brief life of this remarkable band. It has a depth and pathos that sets it apart from anything else they've ever recorded. In this album you can see how the other members, (aside from Billy Cobham), evolving to a level of command and virtuosity as that of John McLaughlin himself. This band will always have a special place in the history of contemporary music.
