@mrpembrokesire I would actually say most people recover fully from this, with surgery. I had both the by-pass and the muscle overlay done at the same time by Dr. Meyer just this last summer and I was able to return to college in the fall.

@mrpembrokesire it depends few people recover from this disease my brother has it he made it though we dont think he will fully recover we went to boston mass to give him the surgery they are the best place to go to treat moyamoya because they have had the most experiance with this disease they have had over 200 cases the chances of getting this disease are 1 out of 4,000,000,000 so it is a very rare disease

My cousin has had both surgeries for this. What is the long-term prognosis? Will he be able to live a normal life if the surgery is successful?
