Stella USBCHA Novice 4/3/2011

Our 3rd Novice USBCHA Trial. Judge: Bobby Dalziel Location: Homer, GA. 4th place. 50.5/70 points. Stella lost points on her outrun as she did not hook and I had to give her another flank. The sheep were trying to bolt to the exhaust the majority of the time. Out of 13 teams, a handful were successful in keeping the sheep. We lost points on the fetch as we were horribly offline. Bobby said if I would've flanked her and cross-drive (driven?) the sheep back online, we wouldn't have lost so many points -- I was just thrilled she *got* the sheep to me. She did a fantastic job covering and overall had nice clean flanks. So proud of Stella, and proud of myself that I actually remembered to use the right commands at the right time, and actually HELP her. Finally -- I see some TEAMWORK!

I love watching dogs herding, we have done a little herding, but we are just prepairing for our PT, just beginning herding ;-) it is so amazing when dogs are to this level ;-) Kathy with Lizzie/Breeze/Cricket
