  • I love Tyr's version of this song.

  • Me too.

  • Olav Tryggvason is a Saint in Faroe, because he introduced christianity, as the Faroe Islands are the Nordic Bible Belt, and paganism is not welcome.

Why are they speaking icelandic? is this from some faroese event in Iceland?

  • They all speaking faroese in this video. The dance is also faroese singen. The dance with this lyrica is my favourite. :o)

  • hahaha, ikki veit eg hvør skipar her, men har er heilt gali... puha!

  • gamli maðurinn með gráu skyrtu er sem skipar.

  • Faroense is a fucking beatiful language!!

  • thank you for this beautiful video

  • Viljið tær hoyra kvæði mítt,

    viljið tær orðum trugva,

    um hann Ólav Trygvason,

    og hagar skal ríman snúgva.

    Glymur dansur í høll,

    dans sláið í ring:

    Glaðir ríða Noregsmenn

    til Hildarting.

  • I know. I've looked that up. But the part in this clip I know. And if I could get the lyrics with al the 86 verses I could learn it ennyway sense I study the languge.

  • the original dance version has 86 verses, so i do not think that týr's could have helped you that much.

  • Haha thank's to Týr I can sing this song without a problem! I will some day come and visit Føroyar! But until then!

I wish you the best! //Sweden

  • Definitely!
