This is a mid 70's vintage Vornado 7 speed blender. Vornado was a long-time manufacturer or electric fans back to the 20's or 30's however I think the company more or less folded and the name was bought out by others. In the 70's there was a number of small home appliances bearing the Vornado name.

  • Vornado wa a line a fans that was made by A.O Sutton COrp. form 1946 to 1958. After A.O Sutton got out of the fan business in 1958 the Vornado name was bought by the Two Guys Co. of New Jersey and was used on all kinds of electrics sold by their Dept. Stores. I have seen Vornado xmas lights, transsistor radios, blenders, Steam Irons etc.....After Two Guys went under the current Vornado fan Co. was started in 1989

  • Yes, I was referring to the General electric, I have one just like it in the video, it works nicely.

  • I think you're referring to the video on the GE blender, this is the Vornado?

  • I have one just like it, I won it on Ebay, it was with its original box, it is a very nice example of late sixties- early seventies appliance design, it was two speeds no solid state components to regulate speeds, G-E did continue making this blender well in to the seventies, I saw one that was black and chrome, and it was kind of rounded off a bit and slicked up a bit design wise, and it featured solid state multi speed control. General Electric was very inovative with there motor designs to.
