A cylinder of gas exploded in a central Beijing restaurant around 9 a.m. local time on Friday the 25th.
The blast flattened the restaurant, damaged nearby buildings, and shattered store windows further down the road.
Three restaurant workers were injured in the explosion but none are in a life-threatening condition.
[Mr. Yang, Beijing Resident]:
"It was like an earthquake. It sounded like there was an earthquake, Bang! Bang! There were two loud noises."
Another local resident blamed the restaurant for not following safety laws.
[Unidentified Local Woman]:
"It is a lack of supervision and administration over this place that led to such losses. I'm a citizen and I want to voice my opinion. May I ask what were these Party leaders doing? What have they been doing with the tax payers' money?"
The restaurant was located in the Xinjiekou area of the historic Xicheng district of Beijing and was decorated like a small Muslim restaurant.
The cuisine featured food from Kashgar City in the Xinjiang region, a volatile region on Chinas western frontier that has been experiencing a severe crackdown under the communist regime.
你丫懂个屁阿!你是中国人么就在这里品头论足。你不知道国庆节前有人就是要捣乱么?你不懂就闭嘴。傻逼。
