If anyone has ever glanced around evhgear.com, they'll hear that a sample of some Van Halen riff is playing at each page describing the Frankenstrat replica. These arent the original studio releases, and I believe that they are taken from the sessions that Ed, Alex, and Wolf have been having over the past few months, You be the judge of that, but enjoy either way.

  • van halen with a kid on bass? I saw it and it was great , but Michael Anthony needs to be there . Nothing against wolfie , but come one . Great music , missed Michael's backign vocals more than bass.

  • wolfie is a bass player not a rockstar.....don't compare him to michael anthony....

  • Guaranteed that any bass is Ed.

He's done bass tracks on EVERY VH album since I.

played nearly ALL the bass on Balance.

  • @666orsexsexsex nope, he is waaaaayyyyy happier with Sammy...

  • It seems too me that all it takes to get Ed's new shit tone is to plug a Wolfgang into a 5150. Everyone spends years trying to nail his old tones though haha

  • i truly hate van halens new tone

  • if that's the tone Ed's been searching for, I'm a bit unimpressed, the VH2 and WACF tones are way better :\

  • michael anthony come back

  • yeah you need mike

  • This definately sounds like van halen to me. It's authentic. Someone could have really good equipment but to make it sound that authentic? I highly doubt it. It's newer equipment for sure and probably is wolfgang on bass.

  • Woofie doesn't deserve to be on the same stage as the other legends. It was odd without Michael. It was 3/4 Halen, not at their full horsepower.

  • Who should play bass for VH ? Les Claypool ! OMG- the faces that would melt !!!!
