how do you do make your sling shoot so far? btw i just started and i am wondering how long you made the arms on the sling and is the type of sling the reason for the distance? since i am using a para cord sling with a pouch made from para cord. thanks

Good job! what distances have you reached?

My personal best thus far has been 237 yards. This was with my hemp sling, and I used a 4oz concrete egg. The distance was measured with a measuring wheel in a large field near where I live.

Yeah, My hemp sling gets a lot of pop on it when I do it right. Keep your eyes open, I'm going to try and get some more videos up soon.

Wow! Very cool, and--for me--instructional! I'm new to slinging, have made a few slings for myself to use (100% paracord) and am still experimenting with various styles of slinging. This "figure 8" style is intriguing, and you appear to have quite a mastery of it. You are launching for distance, here, and I would like to know if you can use this technique well for accuracy at short- and medium-distance targets. Cheers!

Thanks for the comment! I have used this style a lot for accuracy at all ranges. I tend to shoot a little high at first, especially if I've been shooting for distance, but all it takes is a little adjustment to bring the shots down.
