A mysterious man who has multiple jobs as a garage mechanic, a Hollywood stuntman and a getaway driver seems to be trying to escape his shady past as he falls for his neighbor - whose husband is in prison and who's looking after her child alone. Meanwhile, his garage mechanic boss is trying to set up a race team using gangland money, which implicates our driver as he is to be used as the race team's main driver. Our hero gets more than he bargained for when he meets the man who is married to the woman he loves.

  • No comments on the technical side of the film?!? Guess you guys are simple movie fanatics that really do not know much about your craft. This movies editing and framing are stunning. The symbollic use of shadows gives the movie depth. And the reason why the movie was promoted more as an actionpacked movie, is beacouse guys like you (apparently) only appriciate unintellectual action movies, which are good at times, but come on, Drive compared to let's say Transporter, is laughable

  • This is one of the best movies I have seen in a while. Please do not listen to this review. The whole movie is brilliant from start to finish. It's certainly not for those who are squeamish, but it is for people who can appreciate brilliant cinematography and great acting.

  • Whiney bitches.

  • 6.6, huh? And I give 3. Yup... 3 dicks up those fat fucks' asses

  • @sprintertype90 so true best movie in a long time. very atmospheric

  • This movie was boring as fuck anyone who says otherwise is an artsy pretentious fucker. Half the movie was gosling and mulligan staring at each other. Cut out all the pauses and the movie would be 30 mins

  • These fucking idiots should never been allowed a free will, they should never utter the fucking idiotic opinions they have in there stupid amercian braindead bodies, no soul, no understanding, fucking zombies.

  • The is one of the finest films that I have seen in a long, long time. Yes, the action sequences were over the top, but what I personally found haunting was the sub text of the film: Character & Mood. One doesn't have to be a professional film critic to figure that out. I am very disappointed with their sorry 6.6 review. For those of you film buffs out there that have already seen Drive, how very interesting a follow up "Drive 2 would be. Where does the protagonist goes from the last scene ??

  • That carelessness that they talked about. I think it's because Gosling new he was over. He just wanted to kill everyone who could hurt mulligan and her child. He also didn't take the money. Think about it, he wanted everyone to know it was over. That there wasn't money to hunt down.

  • @Amalbertson124 Then maybe they'd think "oh that's why he's driving like a great driver and not a crazy guy from fast and the furious movies" The music, I thought added to the movie. Ryan's character seemed shy, maybe a bit socially awkward, but you could see the romance between gosling and mulligan just by the smiles, looks, and what not. And I'm sure the child had a lot to do with goslings intent on helping them as well. And the directing and editing, my goodness was fantastic. Haters man.

  • These guys are horrible reviewers. They seemed to talk shit on the fact that it wasn't all action-like, that the music was too 80's or 70's, that Gosling's Character didn't talk enough, that his relationship with carry mulligan's character was bland or whatever. The fact that this was a realistic driving movie was what I loved about it. no flashy chase scenes, no expensive ass looking cars. Maybe if these guys noticed the scene where Bryan Cranston mentions that the car will bring no attention.

  • These guys are dumbasses, don't listen to them. The movie is all about the plot, not all of it is action packed with stuff exploding every second and people shooting at each other in every scene. Drive focuses on the characters and is filled with emotion. In my opinion, this movie is a masterpiece and a work of art.
