to be honest with the betfair chase i think it was a tad unfair to call kauto the winner as after looking at the photo i dont think it could be called and therefore a dead heat. and we all know kauto can win the king george he has done it numerous times, i would like to see him take on something as great as denman in the hennessy top weight taking on countless numbers of horses, although not all gold cup class still a few good horses plus good young horses. barbers shop, state of play etc.

in fairness , who did denman beat ??? kauto beat the current ryanair winner and imperial is prob the biggest danger to both kauto and denman in the gold cup in march! don't get me wrong, i like denman & backed him for the hennessy as i thought the field was weak enough- i think he beat horses that have the potential to only be good handicappers!

I agree totally,i believe if denman has someone capable aboard him, he could as you say get into that agreesive rythm and perhaps run the legs out of the field including kauto star, i also think alot of the other runners will be told to try and disrupt the big twos rythm and i think denman could cope better with the bully boy tactics, but ultimately it is a race between the two of them

i think denman will win. although kauto may be a more versatile horse i think denmans jumping and galloping power will win the day. last year denman was not ridden in that agressive manner that allows him to get into that jumping and galloping rythym.

however denman will have to run a career best to win but i think he is more than up to the task. afterall you cant beat katuo star with your B game.

You both make good points but judging on course times recorded by dunguib at both punchestown and fairyhouse he seems a class apart and hasnt been asked a serious question yet has accounted for quite a few decent horses. As for master minded only a fool would right him off and at 7/4 you couldnt go wrong but he is up against a top class field and will need to hit top form to repel all challengers, whats your opinions on the gold cup.

dunguib does look special and i backed him in the bumper last year but like tarqogan says these bankers always look bombproof but come unstuck.

the one i think looks interesting is master minded in the champion chase. if he gets there in tip top shape then he should be odds on and not the current 7/4.

however taking 7/4 ante post about a horse who has been out injured is a bit dodgy. but it depends what you percieve as being value i suppose.
