You know, this video was made about 5 minutes after I put this rig together. In fact, this was made with the same OS and FSX install that ran my DUO Core2 e8400. But looking at it, it looks like full airline AI, Rex etc....but the autogen might be turned down ....this install was on a XP 32 install ...so probably not turned up. However! I currently do run full auto, full airline traffic and 2048 teture rex clouds - all smooth as silk

Hey awesome dude. I've done the same thing (4.8ghz) with the same chipset and cpu. What temps are you seeing tho? My mobo has holes for the old 775 coolers so I'm running a zalman 900 (I think) and #2 core hits 73 degC ... about the top end of comfortable I believe. I'm impressed by the fps even with fraps running. Better install it and post some vids myself!

I've been running @ 5.0 ghz since a minute after posting this video. My max temps with FSX is 70c. I think this video was made within a day or two after putting the kit together -stock cooler. Since then, been running 5.0 with a Hyper 212 Plus.

@FunknNasty Nice. Since posting mine's been creeping up towards 80 degrees though. I'll have a look for a better cooler now that i know the rig can handle the OC. I skipped the first i5/i7 series because the value didn't seem to be there - glad I waited ...

Yeah, I'm glad I waited also (moved from an e8400).

FYI- I'm running ce1, speedstep , and offset mode of .005 (1.40 v) and 50x100. My reported temps are with FSX under full load -my cooler will not do a 4 core Prime test without melting the cpu.

I will be upgrading a PIII to an i7 Extreme. make me laugh when I think about the ass load of money that damned thing costs and Im putting it in a Antec 302 lol!
