A memory on this song. Not to discredit Edgar but... Dan Hartman sang this with the Legends in the basement of the Railroad House in Marietta PA, and probably at other local gigs, well before joining the Edgar Winter Group. The Legends were doing power trio stuff then with Dan on lead, but this ballad was played most definitely at that time. I distinctly remember the drummer saying to Dan "do Autumn." It was memorable upon my first hearing it 40 years gone.
same here autumn almost here. I went from a beautiful spring romance with the lady I loved as a child to see it cool in the warmth of the sun and dryed up. How? to much stuff happens to keep love alive in both people. so just keep what was good in your heart. we all share the pain, just don't do it to the next guy and guard your heart
