@TluaP Do you actually care about the Belgian/French fighting abilities?
Haha, Stella is belgian beer, and it's the best beer in the world. That's where this commercial is about.

stella was very expenisive a couple a hundred years ago the son deserved it the other fresh wine for him

This is my favorite commercial!!! lol saves his son! Good enough for some wine but not stella!!!!

TluaP, it's actually worse that you thought. The guy will the bad arm is the son of the bartender. The other dude saved the son's life. The son gets a Stella but the old man screws his friend out of a Stella even though he saved his son's life.

A guy with multiple injuries and losing his arm defending his country and a bartender screws him out of a beer. I'll never drink it.
Apparently the French/Belgian people don't care/know what the rest of the world thinks of their fighting ability. Hard not to laugh at Bart Simpson now: "Cheese-eating surrender-monkeys" and "I'm shaking like a French soldier".
Belgium's motto is "Strength Through Unity."
Show some honour.
@TluaP Obviously another bloody Yank with no sense of humour. Get a grip man, it's only an advert!

@TluaP This was part of the Stella Artois "reassuringly expensive" marketing campaign. So it was promoted as a quality brand, for which you had to pay the price. So in this TV commercial, the bar owner reluctantly gives a Stella, on the house, to his son, when the son rejects a glass of wine, but there's no way the friend is going to get a free Stella (and reduce the man's profits), no matter how heroic he has been.
