US-Army film from 1970 about the use of Attack Helicopters in a conflict between NATO and Warsaw Pact. It seems to be a commercial for the AH-56 Cheyenne, which never actually entered service. In the film most of the time its role is - except for some prototype footage - depicted by the AH-1.

  • @Nater245689 it's good to see someone who actually knows that they're talking about on youtube!

  • @181jose You're wrong. The Russian army is mainly a conscription force. The US army, on the other hand, is a professional army. A professional army battle hardened by a decade of war. The Russians have only just built their first stealth aircraft. More than 30 years after the United States built their first. That's quite a difference in both technology and experience. It shows. the F-22 is far more stealthy than the T-50/Pak-Fa.

  • @Nater245689 Not trained lol what are you talking about??? They troops are super trained pumped up with morale and courage their training is about 1 or 2 years while the westerns have 6 mounth's of training or so if im not wrong? They have Fancy ass stealth stuff maybe fancier than the west and they do spend a lot of cash for military they just dont show that on TV like we watch for the US on DISCOVERY chanel.

  • @181jose Well, your post doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but I'll try to respond to it. Russia's "stealth shit" isn't nearly as fancy as that of the US. They're also not very proficient at producing the kinds of advanced composites needed to build stealth aircraft. They also spend at best 10% of what the US spends on defense. Their personnel are not nearly as well trained as the US or any Western military. They're not nearly the threat they once were.

  • @Nater245689 russia is string eaven today they are not sleeping they have advanced military tech and all that fancy stealth shit ..

  • @engaurd Not as an attack helicopter, no. They are developing a test compound helicopter, though. The design could end up being used in any number of designs. It's a lot less complicated than the tilt rotor system and much faster than conventional helicopters. I think it will become quite popular in the future if helicopter R&D funding picks up.

  • @TimKGrimes Lol, that's hilarious. Russia is in the midst of a long term population decline. If it weren't for the remnants of it's Soviet-era military power, it would be no more threatening to the United States than Brazil.

  • The Cheyenne bit the dust and was replaced by the "stop gap" AH-1. Almost 45 years later the AH-1 is still a front-line tool of the USMC.

  • @TimKGrimes I'm glad to see someone's awake!

  • The best military victory the supposed 'former' USSR accomplished was convincing the US it had dissolved. What a ruse!
