At CES 2009 SanDisk showcased its third generation Solid State Drive technology, which should be released later on in 2009 in capacities of 60GB, 120GB, and 240GB, with prices set at $149, $249, and $499, respectively. Along with the G3 drives SanDisk was showing its new SSD benchmark, dubbed vRPM (virtual Revolutions Per Minute), which the company claims helps compare SSD to conventional hard drives.
