At the end of the day they are all just characters and the actors are doing a great job.
You have to admit that many people stopped watching Lost when they saw a doctor drinking and driving, lying on Oath in court for Kate and becoming suicidal, while Kate was left to raise a child that had become orphaned.
It was so depressing. Just being honest.
No hard feelings.
