were as the xmods have one red and one black showing one positive and one negative
p.s well i see that you know a lot about electronics maybe you should make a video showing all the basics on it. you got another subscriber

@andres24gomez All sorts of stores sell the Hitec HS-55, including big chains like Tower Hobbies, and electronics places like RobotShop.
If you're asking if you can use it as a drive motor for xmods, you're not going to get anywhere near enough power out of the gearing on those servos. After doing a bit of reading it looks like some people do high-torque mods for things like rock crawling: you can use these servos for that, yes.

@brennant74 Only the speed. You're effectively removing the mechanical part that lets you control the angle.

could i use for xmods?
where do they sell this servo at?
please answer back
or could you sell it to me...
thanks
Thanks! Works great, though I think the pot axle keeps moving slightly off center, making motor spin again - do you have a good way to secure pot axle - crazy glue?

@tokamax238 Crazy glue, hot glue, epoxy, they'll all do the job decently. I find this is less of an issue on the hs-55s, but if you're modding other servos such as Hextronik servos (which I have found are cheaper and better than the hs-55s) you'll need to do this. I may post a tutorial on those later.

does this mod allow change in direction?
tokamax238 1 year ago
@tokamax238 Yes it does, it will respond left or right depending on which direction the pulse is in, as long as the pot was centered before you modded.

but would i have any problems with my car board

@andres24gomez Servos are servos. There's not much difference between a Hitec and a T-Pro for example, with the exception of performance. Interface-wise they're pretty much all the same.
