My mom often served this at dinner whenever we had guests at home. When I went back to Japan with my American husband, she, as a matter of course, presented him with that. And that was his first encounter with temaki sushi. According to my mom, she didn't have to prepare too much, just cut the ingredients long and thin to fit in your palm. And if there is anything left over, you can just roll them up to make sushi rolls.
