I remember this game being tough as hell..
-
strider on the nes is underrated
-
@BFarmer1980 Yeah, holding up your sword is the best way to kill overhead enemies on this game!
-
Yeah, final boss is a bit weak--and, honestly, the video made it a lot harder than it has to be. Holding up on your D-Pad + Jumping = Killing these things in half the time.
For it's problems, this is still a very good game.

@CCdoesyermom That makes you 30 now. LOL A freind of mine had this, and I wanted it so bad. I went into KB Toystore with my mother and asked about it and they said it was recently discontinued and that I was probably too late. I held off on alternative choices they pointed out, came back 2 weeks later to ask for an alternative to Strider, and they said " we got some right here!". It was my 14th birthday, September 1990. My sister hated this game, so I was alone beating it, but lots of memories!

great game but sad excuse of a final boss
-
Oh! No! Not another artificial raven one!!!
-
Totally badass ending.

@paerarru Yggdrasil fits more within the mythos of Faxanadu. Yugdesiral looks more Lovecraftian than Norse.

Well, now that I'm older and I've learned two things I'm guessing Yugdesiral is the butchering of Yggdrasil. Either way I love this game, and its ending credits. Thanks for bringing back the memories.
You're kidding me right? This game is great. Yeah, it's not as good as the original but it's much better than that shitty Strider 2 on the genesis
