There was a sign next to the big slide that said, remove footwear before using the slide, but my mama had just bought me my new pumps so I daren't leave them so went down with them on, got some friction and kicked myself in the head :) The only way out was for r'kid to guide me through the turn tables, the giant skittles, moving floors, dancing stairway haha!

Trying to think what other attractions were in there - the giant barrel where all the older kids hung out, the vertical slides, anon!

@LEEDS8 There was loads in there,at the entrance you use to walk through like a tunnel,it was all dark,there was a rope ladder,a big drum where you sat in and spin,joy wheel where it throws you off.Yeah the barrel was one of the best,like a washa machine.

My first visit to the Funhouse was in the 1960's with another two girls on our first day trip the Blackpool without our parents. I remember the first thing that we had to do to get into the main part, was go along a moving walkway on a raised up stage, with barrels either side that looked as if they would fall on you. There was a crowd sat watching, and as we reached the end of the walkway our skirts were blown up in our faces to laud applause. I miss the Funhouse, we used to spend hours there.

i spennt happy days in blackpool fun house, when you went out of the fun house i found away to turn the turnstile the other way so instead of going out only i could turn it other way coming in so my mate and me charged people coming in our way made some cash lol

we used to spay polish down the slide thsn go like a rocket

shame it burnt down thanks for a good mem
