Sure it can. Just use a dedicated macro lens. If you think this is sharp, check out the canon 65mm macro lens videos. They are amazing for detail. The Canon 24-70mm F2.8 USM L, Canon 135mm F2 L and Canon 85mm F1.2 ii USM L are also very sharp lenses but for fine detail like this you'll always do better with a macro.
