  • Hospitals use tanning beds on newborn babies to cure jaundice.

Dermatologists use tanning beds on patients who suffer from acne, eczema, and psoriasis.

Why is it that it's safe for a doctor to put a newborn baby into a tanning bed to cure a potentially life threatening illness, but it's not safe for a 16 year old to go for a 10 minute tan that will provide them with much needed vitamin D once or twice a week?

This video is bullshit propaganda for the suncreen companies.

  • My problem is that, at the place i go to, its $32 a month, and a full body spray tan is $25, am i gonna get a spray tan every two weeks? waste of money...

  • More salons are now offering spray tanning to underage kids instead of the tanning bed services. Many new laws have been past in recent years restricting underage tanning in UV Beds and Booths. Salons are starting to encourage teens to do spray tanning. This video makes salons sound irresponsible to their customers because some still do offer tanning beds to teens. But it is not a law everywhere and parents should take more respectability for what their children are doing health wise.

  • @FortNikitaBullion The large concentration over minutes still outweighs the x and gamma ray traces. Obviously there's no such thing as a "safe tan", but doing it in the real sun is definitely safer than hitting a bed 3 times a week.

  • @215Dave215 But sunlight can have trace amounts of X-rays and Gamma-rays, can't it? A tanning light should have relatively pure UV since it wouldn't have high enough voltages to generate X- and Gamma- rays.

  • @FortNikitaBullion Sunlight is significantly safer. When you tan in a salon, you're getting extremely concentrated UVA rays. It's basically a blast of UVA rays. 10 minutes in a bed like that is the equivalent to an entire day at the beach.

  • @FortNikitaBullion What do you mean "actually"? The amount of evidence surrounding melanoma and these beds is irrefutable. You'd have to be one seriously thick little cunt to try and dispute that.

  • Why do I need to change my skin colour? Why should I risk skin cancer? I feel no need to change my skin colour. I value my health much more than fashion.

  • Fuck you.

  • Where are the warnings for airport scanners which actually do cause cancer?
