here's a better question, why did he skip so many verses? You know, the ones all about how wisdom cries out in the streets? Lifts the voice high? Maybe because it might contradict his teaching in "bullhorn guy"...

actually I heard a sermon where he condemmed the prosperity gosple and said it was wrong to say "be a christian and everything will be great" his words were "come and suffer with us"

well idk if i would agree with you totally there, not sure if rob bell really preaches anything like the prosperity gospel, i am pretty sure i have heard several messages from him talking about our hardships and suffering in Christ...so don't know if i can see the connection

totally agree with you, Osteen preaches a message of "Become a christian and get rich quick and lose ten pounds!" He pushes the prosperity gospel, which is complete idolatry, if any of you are interested in looking for more about the prosperity gospel, look up John Piper Prosperity Gospel and play the first video you see

Or the fact that Driscoll has a very solid knowledge and understanding of the Bible, something that Osteen obviously lacks. He's more of a motivational speaker than a pastor.

Just curious how many people were there?? I was vising from New Zealand. From where I was sitting there looked to be alot of people. Is the red counter above the power point the amount of people?? Or is it to do with the creche??
