-From, "IL SORRISO DEL GRANDE TENTATORE" (ITALY, 1974)
-"THE DEVIL IS A WOMAN" (USA)
-"THE TEMPTER" (UK)
-"EL DIABLO ES UNA MUJER" (Venezuela)
-"VERBANNT" (Germany)

A horror drama in which the Devil tempts different people with their greatest desire, starring Glenda Jackson.

Another example of Ennio's dark choral work, building up the tension with the layering of the voices.

I noticed (early) Pink Floyd influences before. In Commandamenti per un gangster. The electric organ (a hammond?) sounds muted and slightly distorting there. Rick Wrights organ sounded just like that in Rotterdam gigs around 1970, when theye weren't so famous yet, and their amplifiers still a bit creaky and the instruments on the cheap side... But I think it's coincidence. The Floyds never mentioned Morricone, and Morricone never mentioned them.

    Absolutely

Did the maestro borrow? Shocking! Hard for me to tell since I don't have access to all the other classical sources in his brain...

  • @yvamarquer

Atom Heart Mother was here first, btw

  • Has anybody noticed there's a part in Pink Floyd's Atom Heart Mother Suite that sounds exactly like this soundtrack?

  • hot. i like when the voices start.
